FAVORITE FOOT,
FAVORITE FOOT. I am beyond convinced that this foot has helped me get my stitching almost perfect everything. Before my stitches would wander ...now my projects are coming turning out exactly like they should. It's given me even more pleasure to do my sewing/quilting projects.

A great help for basic piecing,
I've been quilting for over 30 years and quilt quite a bit. Other than applications when you want the visibility of an open toe (set-in or "Y-Seams" this is my go-to foot for piecing. (I still use a regular foot for sewing on binding.) Others complain that this doesn't give an accurate 1/4 inch seam measurement. IF you have a machine that allows you to move the needle to the left or right you can easily compensate for this. The center hole in the foot will allow for slight horizontal movement. The only thing you could probably call a problem is that if you pin your pieces together and have the pin sticking out too far, the tip of the pin can hit the edge of the foot and push the fabric away from the foot. I've trained myself to keep pins out of the way and everything's a breeze.

Perfect for beginners
Oh man has this foot changed my world. It's so easy, I wish all beginner quilters could start with this.

Very highly recommend this product!
I love, love, love these feet and keep them on hand for all my machines! I even have spares in case anything happens and I need a replacement. I have recommended this foot to many friends and to all I teach to sew and quilt. I had purchased another brand and the guide snapped off after many hours of use, so far this foot has held up beautifully which is why I've purchased additionals!

Love This But KEEP IN MIND
Why every sewing machine doesn't have a quarter inch foot is beyond me. I have a Brother 6000i that I love but I needed this foot. HOWEVER, keep in mind that 1) it will not ride over pins that extend beyond the edge of the material and the guideline and 2) you must have your needle in its center position. Since my machine defaults to the needle being in the left position, I have to leave myself a note under the presser foot each time I turn off my machine. I am ordering another presser foot that shouldn't have these issues, but in the meantime, this works great.

Fantastic foot.
Works fantastically, nice even 1/4 inch seam allowances. I use it for all of my piecing now. Only problem I've had with it is sometimes I forget to move my needle over to stitch straight and I've broken a couple of needles. Totally my fault, but I thought I'd warn other people that it's something to look out for with this foot.

great product at a third the price of name brand!
For the price this can not be beat! It is identicle to the $15 dollar one and performs exactly the same so returning the expensive one since there is no difference even cosmetic. Helps produce a perfect quarter inch off edge stitch when sewing edging onto material. Very impressed. I don't have a good eye or patience sewing and this speeds up the process and eliminates stress and gives me confidence I can sew what I'm sewing to perfection.

Quilting made easy.
I LOVE this quilting foot. I'd been using a strip of tape on my machine to mark the 1/4" and it worked ok, but this foot makes it sooooooo much easier to keep everything in line. I was hesitant to spend the money on something I didn't see as "necessary", but I'm very glad I did. I highly recommend getting this if you are even thinking about quilting. I noticed a few people mentioned to check your needle position to avoid broken needles, this is always good advice. I usually do the first stitch by using the hand wheel, just to make sure I'm right where I want to be. Oh, and it was genuine Brother and came with clear instructions, not that you really need them.

My favorite go to foot
This is my "go to" foot! I received this just in time to finish my quilt top for a Christmas gift and I am glad I did because it kept my patchwork and sashing straight and my corners all butted up to each other perfectly! I was very pleased since it was only my 2nd quilt I've ever sewn, I wish I would have had it when I was putting my 1st quilt together but now I will use it for all my future quilting projects.
