Brother SA185 1/4" Foot with Guide

Love this i read alot of reviews that made hesitiant onpurchases because it came messed up or it bends easy and i thankfully have not had any issues i see where it could bend very easy its a very thin metal but it is so worth the chance you always get that perfect 1/4 in seam and as long as what your sewing is straight and you can but the edge up against it you get straight lines.

I can make my perfect quarter inch quilting seams with this foot. I especially like the longer toe in front that gives me a clearer view of the edge of the fabric.

how have i been quilting with out this? I love this piecing foot with the 1/4" guide, all my seams are uniform and the joined seams are sharp and perfect. I'm delighted with this purchase.

I love this foot. I get perfect 1/4 inch seams. High quality. Mine came quickly and it is a genuine Brother foot with Brother packaging.

I've been using this to sew a lot of 18 inch doll clothes recently, and I must say it was worth every penny. It sews up a perfect 1/4" seam every time, and the little markings on the side make it easy to see when I need to turn fabric at a corner to keep that seam lined up where it should be. This is a very helpful piece of equipment if you sew small seams regularly.

I'm just learning how to sew and teaching myself entirely. This guide has helped make sew my 1/4" inch seem without as much mystery since my 1/4" plate marker is difficult to see. My seams are also straighter, though you still have to keep an eye on to make sure the fabric is uniformly pressed up against the ledge at all times. One thing to note, don't forget to move your needle position over and check to ensure when that needles comes down it won't be onto the foot.

This piece is a must for my sewing machine! I make perfect 1/4 inch lines with it every time and use it with every quilt that I piece together. Fits my brother sewing machine perfectly

Works great and fits perfectly on my brother se-350. I know this is listed as a quilting foot but it is perfect for sewing clothes or anything rather that you want a nice even seam. Great price. This is a steal. Joannas will try to sell you this or double or triple the total cost of this.

I decided to purchase this foot because I have recently started quilting. With an exact 1/4" seam allowance being so important in quilting, I wanted extra assurance. Boy am I happy with this foot! First of all, it is a foot that is actually made by Brother. It is great quality and fits on my Brother SQ9050. You still have to pay attention when you are sewing to make sure that you fabric is lined up right against the blade. Also, the blade is not an actual sharp blade like you would see on a serger. It's just a guiding blade to give you extra guidance on where your seam allowance should be. It is more difficult to use once you've made your sandwich. At that point I just switched to my regular J foot.
