Don't know how I lived without it

Posted by A. Baker on 11th Jul 2018

As a quilter I can't believe I went so long without buying this foot for my Brother SE400. Its fantastic. I use it on pretty much every single project and always get perfect 1/4" seams. So worth the money.

    High-Quality 1/4in. patchwork Foot w/Guide (SA185) (ESG-QGF)

Posted by M. Hanska on 11th Jul 2018

The first two words in the title says it all. The quarter-inch patchwork presser foot is very well made and works beautifully, and at a piddling low price. I called my local sewing shop/distributor to inquire as to the price of this presser foot and the price quoted to me was many times more than I paid for this foot. Additionally, when compared to the presser feet that came with my machine, the quality is indistinguishable.

    Perfect 1/4" seams

This is a must when doing a lot of sewing with quarter inch seams. Especially in quilting, without this foot you may find it difficult to get seams to line up perfectly.

    Good buy!

I have the patchwork foot with no guide, too, so it is great to have both depending on the project. The quarter inch goes right to the blade making seams very accurate. I use this foot on my Brother PC660 LA sewing machine.

Confidence builder, at a great price.

Finally, I feel confident assembling quilt blocks because I am certain my seems are uniform, and exactly a quarter inch. What a relief. Also I tried to buy this from a local sewing machine store.....haha. I can buy four of them here instead of one there. I believe in supporting local business, but I'm not stupid enough to pay to pay FOUR times as much!

    Love this foot

Posted by Customer on 10th Jul 2018

Love the 1/4 inch foot with guide. No more worries about consistent seams with this attachment and no more squinting to make sure I am on the correct line. It is especially helpful when sewing at night when the lighting is not the best. The guide makes it easy to just line up the edge of my fabric and hit the pedal when chain piecing. Wish I would have gotten this accessory years ago. I even bought one for my second sewing machine so there is no issue when friends come to sew, we each have a 1/4 inch foot. Great foot for piecing if you are a quilter.

    Couldn't be more pleased!

Posted by Principessa di Cucina on 9th Jul 2018

I was working on a new quilting project, and even though I can set my Brother computer machine for 1/4 inch seams, found that I needed a scant 1/4 inch seam. So, I ordered the 1/4 inch quilting foot and what a difference it made. The pattern started to piece correctly and using this foot was such a life saver. I had called a few vendors to inquire availability and price and was so shocked when I figured out that I needed this foot. Then, I checked Amazon, and of course, the foot was available and the price 75% lower than any of the vendors I had checked out. So ordered, and I received in only 4 days with standard shipping. Now you can't beat that ... original Brother accessory, excellent price, and superb shipping. I couldn't be happier!

    Accuracy

Posted by Linda A. Taylor on 9th Jul 2018

I always use a 1/4 guide foot on my machines, I have 5 different machines....I would not be without one, I like to be as accurate as possible and this is a BIG help! I highly recommend it for anyone that sews in general, or quilts ;)

    Brother 1/4-inch Quilting Foot

Posted by Claudia Burt Green on 9th Jul 2018

This is the single best tool I have ever bought for my machine. I do a lot of machine piecing of quilts and getting a consistant 1/4" seam has been difficult. This foot is amazing. The foot can only be used on a sewing machine that has a straight stitch middle setting. The fabric rests against the blade that extends on the right(in the picture) and the stitching takes place in the center of the foot. The only difficult part was getting used to starting the sewing. I had some trouble with the fabric being pulled down into the throat of the machine. But it was a very short learning curve. I would suggest this to anyone that does quilting and machine piecing. Great product.
