Four Stars
Well made accessory. The markings are metric, I'm not used to that in my sewing machines.

Great for narrow seams
I bought this to help with sewing narrow elastic at the edge of the fabric. It really does help to keep the edge alligned. I'm a beginner and it definetly helped me to stitch a straight line. Highly recommended.

Very useful accessory foot
A reasonably priced accessory foot that works very well for accurately positioning top stitching and for sewing accurate seam allowances.

I love sewing machine gadgets.
I love sewing machine gadgets, and this foot does help align stitches in even rows. Brother makes a good strong product and this foot won't disappoint.

Don't Wait, Get One! (or two)
This is one of the best purchase of my sewing career. I purchased a second one for a friend. My sister is going to start sewing on our Mother's old Singer, so I am considering getting a snap-on shank so I can get her one of these also. My friend and I were sewing together on two machines to finish a couple outfits for her son's wedding. At first she looked at my foot and turned up her nose. The next time I went to use it, she had taken it to her machine, marked her seam allowance with a little piece of paper tape, and I never got the foot back. (No, she never brought the foot I got her from home. But I expect she will have more respect for it now and will take it out of the package next time she sews.) I mostly use it for 1/4" seams and "scant 1/4" seams" and I get a more accurate seam than 1/4" presser feet. (Go figure?) But I don't just use it for its 1/16" seam allowance markings. The left side of the foot is a narrow 1/8" and I use it for zippers and topstitching. The snap-on attachment is universal for all fairly newish machines and works on short-shank as well as mid-shank models. It does not fit my old portable Singer. But it fits my newer Brother Isadore embroidery machine and Babylock Aria. I know that these machines also fit White and newer Singer feet, so this foot will work universally on most machines that are newer than 20-years-old. Update: I let my neighbor borrow it. So now I am buying 2 more. One for my Aria and one for my neighbor.
