The mats work very well.
The mats are actually better than they seem. They work very well and holds the paper just fine. I do, however, use a rubber ink roller (brayer) over my paper to secure the paper/cardstock better. ( I do this when I use my other cutting machines too.) I just think it works for me. I just love this machine (ScanNCut 2!!!).
