Brother Scan and Cut 12" x 12" Standard Cutting Mat

Replacement mat for cutting. I wish the adhesive was stronger. Not sure what brother was thinking with that. Mat is thin and easy to cut, make sure you read your machines settings or you will damage it like I did. I would suggest lots of videos and never lose the setting sheet.

I got this as an extra ... They are sticky to start off with.. all you have to do it use warm soapy water when you cut a lot of things and in 15 minutes it is sticky again.....

The mat stays sticky longer than I expected, but when it did lose the stickiness, I sprayed on some Krylon Easy Tack repositionable adhesive and it solved the problem. (Brother does not recommend doing this, but I decided to take my chances!) I've made hundreds of cuts and I'm still using the same mat with only spraying the Krylon once. I use the mat with cardstock, so I cannot comment on how it will work with fabric.

Needed to replace a mat I cut through. Learned a lot about my ScanNCut. Did you know there is a "pressure" setting? It is in the tools menu. Be sure to keep some wet wipes around to periodically clean the mat.

This is the standard mat for the Brother scanNcut. It has a good adhesive surface and arrived in flat box without any damage. I use this mat for doing appliqué on my scanNcut and it holds the fabric well. I have not used it for yardstick so cannot say how it does on that. I have used it successfully on adhesive vinyl for decals and fabric. I am happy with the product as they last well and you can clean them with unscented baby wipes allow to dry and they are good for another go. I had to replace my old one because I cut too deep and went thru my old mat.
