Fiskars 45 mm Loop Handle Rotary Cutter

Ok...all the LEFTIES out there in the world, this is the cutter for you. I was having difficulty trying to see exactly where I was cutting because it is originally put together from the factory for a right handed person, I ordered the titanium blades (which are AWESOME, by the way) and then reversed the cutting side (when replacing the blade and unscrewing the button to take the blade out, I placed the button on the opposite side). It was amazing and the only time in my lefty life to have a product with this versatility. Amazing and SO WORTH THE PURCHASE...cutting material is not monotonous anymore! Thank goodness, otherwise I wouldn't have kept doing much sewing...

I'm not a pro or even do a lot of cutting, but I like to make clothes for myself and its so much easier to use a rotary cutter than scissors. The blade is super sharp and it doesn't take a lot of effort to cut through any fabric. I also cut my finger open the first time I used it because I was too excited. I was just slicing away and suddenly the cutter gets caught on something and won't go any further and it took me a second to realize that it was my finger that stopped it in its tracks. Anyway, it's great that it's got a shield on top so you don't cut yourself if your hand slips and there's a quick release button on the side to bring the blade back up into the shield. The handle is pretty comfy, though I can't speak for those who use it for long periods of time. I'm glad for the investment! I feel like it might be small, but it makes a big difference in lessening the amount of work and thus shortening amount of time spent on a project. I probably should've gone with a slightly smaller blade, but the size is just fine for now.

This cutter has been a God-send for a quilting project I took on. It was "just" a doll size quilt; so I wasn't sure it justified the expense; but it made cutting the fabric to size VERY easy! it cut through the layers of the quilt easily when i trimmed the edges. It took some practice to see how hard to press for each fabric; but working with even good scissors would have been MUCH harder! I also purchased Fiskars 18x24 Inch Self Healing Rotary Cutting Mat to use it with. I am highly pleased with both purchases! It also helped making the doll size accessories (pillows of various shapes and sizes) because it was easier to make small cuts; accurately!

I needed to cut a spandex-like material and was having a really rough time with scissors. Using this made it much easier and helped me to cut a straight line. With the scissors, I was all over the place and it looked like a two year old had cut the material. It was easy enough for my 8 year old to use and do a good job.

This is the greatest cutting tool I have ever used. I did not these know even existed until I watched a YouTube Video. I lay out my cloth on the table and cuts right thru with no problem. There are no frayed edges or areas you have to go back over. It is very sharp but insanely easy to use. Highly recommend to anyone that needs to cut anything related in crafts. There is plenty of room for your hand to fit and is easy to control.

I love this cutter! I have the same one that I bought for a higher price, so when I saw this at this price I was quick to put it in my cart. It cuts several pieces of fabric at once, it’s easy to cut a straight line using your ruler, and it feels really good in my hand. I also teach a sewing class with kids so I love the fact that I can close it so easily. It come very sharp, and the kids know that only the adults can use it because it is so sharp. I would recommend this to anyone.

Good cutting tool designed for safe use. The blade retracts into the guard which I like. The blade turns smoothly with no catching or wobble to throw off the cut. I used this a lot until it got dull and moved to a more traditional knife for cutting out patterns in leather. I like a normal knife better because I can sharpen the knife instead of having to purchase relatively expensive replacement blades. This rotary cutting tool was great at cutting long, smooth curves. It was easy to follow the line and takes minimal effort to cut the material as the pattern rotates so you have to cut at odd angles. I was very happy with the tool even though I no longer use it.

I have had the smaller Olga cutter for quite a few years but rarely used it, because although it's good for tight corners, it's actually clumsy to use for large projects so it mostly stayed in my sewing box untouched. Since getting this cutter I use it ALL the time, and I don't worry about cutting my fingers like I did with the smaller one. The handle makes it both comfortable and *safe* to use, and with something as sharp as these babies are, that is *important.* This is also even less expensive than the smaller size, and I bought that years ago! All around great product, great price!

I had been looking for a rotary cutter when I ran across these on Amazon and wondered if they would be good since the price was less than I had seen for others the same size. They are good quality and size for everyday cutting. I would recommend purchasing additional blades because if you do a lot of fabric cutting you'll need to change the blades often. One thing I really like about these is that they are easy to open and close and they are lightweight. When I'm ready to purchase the next size, I'll definitely look at this brand.
