Safe way to cut duct tape!

    Posted by ABC911 on 14th Mar 2019

An essential tool for my Duct Tape Club for Kids! Do you have any idea how much duct tape needs to be cut for 10 kids to make flower rings?!?!? I have used it once a week from January to the end of May and the blade is getting a tiny bit dull. Highly recommend, and I super-hope I can easily replace the blade. It might (or might not) be helpful for you to know that I'm left handed and in the furious duct-tape-cutting-frenzy I went through each week, it was annoying that the cutter rocked and wobbled every time I put it down in between cuts because I laid it down with the orange piece facing the table. I suppose if I were more forward thinking, I would stop putting it down by rotating my hand left and start rotating it right, but sheesh, when you have to cut 1000 strips of tape in half an hour I just can't retrain my hand. Maybe Fiskars should make an optional left handed cutter. :)

    Great rotary cutter!

I love this rotary cutter! I use it for my vinyl crafting business. It’s sharp and gives a nice clean cut. I can’t cut a straight line to save my life, so this cutter is so helpful! I also love that the blade is retractable so I don’t have to worry about my toddler getting ahold of it it and cutting herself.

    Money well spent.

My all time favorite cutting tool for making quilts. This Rotary cutter makes cutting pieces so much faster and easier. I can't believe we used to do all that cutting with scissors. Thank goodness we don't have to do that today. My old arthritic hands would never have been able to take it. If you do a lot of fabric cutting, you need this tool. Coupled with the self-healing cutting board and a few Omnigrid rulers then you're golden. You can pretty much do anything. This Fiskars Rotary cutter is so easy to use, I can cut out quilt pieces in record time. I have several in various sizes. I couldn't live without these. Money well spent.

    nice

I'm new to roary cutting but this produst works really well for me. I've been using it for about two months and have cut a lot of fabric. Still using the original blade and have had no problems cutting fleece, flannel, cotton interlock and jersey. Just a heads up- every so often the blade will develop a little wobble that can effect control, just tighten the nut.

    Years, and still going strong

Posted by Evadman on 13th Mar 2019

I use this rotary cutter to cut fabric or embroidery stabilizer, which is essentially very thick fabric. I have had no problems with 2 layers, though 4 of fleece will not work due to the blade thickness. This came with one blade, and I got a 5 pack of new blades that have lasted me daily use for a few years. Incredibly simple to create aligned patterns vs scissors. Also much easier on your hand if you are cutting for hours at a time. Hard grippe scissors will kill my hand after about 10 minutes, but I can't remember this ever hurting my hand at all.

    Sharp, Fun & Pain Free.

Posted by KATHLEEN on 13th Mar 2019

Great scissor/blade. Easily cuts through thick cardboard and cutting out various shapes. Works well where regular standard scissors were so awkward and cumbersome. Additionally, the roatary was so gentle on my hands- which remained pain free. While using regular scissors the pain was terribly as the scissors aggravated my arthritis In the worse way. I actually find myself looking for projects to use the rotary because I’m so happy with this purchase and just how easy they are to use. I highly recommend This merchandise.

    Nice for leather work!

This thing is awesome! Easy to use, simply push top orange button down and it engages the blade. Simply push the Orange button on the side and the blade retracks back up to safely store. I've used this on a lot of leather and it makes professional cuts!

    Very Comfortable Softgrip Rotaray Cutter

    Posted by paboyd2657 on 1st Mar 2019

My other rotary cutter was causing pain with the arthritis in my hands but this Softgrip Comfort Rotarty Cutter Handle feels much better. I have no pain with this cutter, it is easy and safe to use and cuts straight and true. I would highly recommend this item to all crafters, especially those who must be careful with their hands.

    I LOVE this rotary cutter

Posted by Trinity Rajch on 1st Mar 2019

I LOVE this rotary cutter! I have my own Etsy/Amazon Handmade shop and I cut A LOT of fabric. Fiskars has always been my go to brand in cutting tools, and this cutter did not disappoint. The handle is comfortable and easy to grip, the blade trigger is easy to use, and the blade glides like a dream. What I prefer most about the design of this cutter is the handle, the additional piece that goes in front of the fingers allows for better control and comfort. My only complaint is a problem that seems to be common with these cutter, the blade becoming loose with use. As I have experience with all my Fiskars Rotary cutters the blade it comes with is fine, but when you change the blade as you use it the knob does not stay secure so I have to make sure to keep re-tightening it as I go. It is a bit annoying, but not enough that I would not recommend this cutter.
