They're very sharp and will remain so if you take good care of them
I'm a Tailor and own a few of these clippers...been using them for a few years. They're very sharp and will remain so if you take good care of them. They're especially nice to have when traveling or helping at special events, like weddings. I've never had problems with any Gingher products - they're sturdy and designed to perform and last a long time.

Used brand for years
I have had many of this brand of clippers. I misplaced my last pair and had to have another. I can hardly sew without one by my machine. I'll find the other pair someday and then will be happy to have two.

Pretty nice little thread clipper
Pretty nice little thread clipper. It does a pretty good job of making small snips in fabric too. You have to hold it just right to cut fabric: fingers need to be on the outside edges applying a slight pressure inward, otherwise the fabric will sometimes roll in between the blades.

Love, love these thread clippers.
These are the BEST! I have never used thread clippers, always used embroidery scissors. These are lightweight, fit my hands and are as sharp as you would expect Gingher products to be, I have had them ony a few days, but I have already ordered another pair for my embroidery tote. Wish I’d gotten them before now.

and they're wonderful to use
I use these every day for hand embroidery, and they're wonderful to use. I didn't like having to wiggle my fingers into tiny scissors. It was causing me a good bit of hand strain on top of the sewing I was already doing. This is just easier. My only wish is that there is a loop on the scissor part, not just the cap, so I can attach them to a lanyard.

They are so handy
I bought these for my granddaughter as a gift because I have had my pair for years. They are so handy and I do wear them around my neck on a lanyard. Always were I want them. When I first ordered them my hands were young but now that they aren't, I love them even more because they have a spring action so I only need to squeeze them to snip a thread and they open again to snip another.

Worth each and every penny.. each and every.... don't be fooled by cheap snips
It seems I have been forced to admit that buying those cheap 990998 metal snippers for $4 was absolutely NOT the way to go. Being that they all bent, broke, dulled, and ripped my thread into a worse state when I was attempting to thread it through a needle I finally decided that perhaps I'd give in and see what one of these "expensive" (and by expensive -- I'm being ridiculous since. these thread snips are not at all expensive for their worth as I soon found out) were all about. Boy, had I been missing out. Don't make my mistake. Just buy these to begin with. Plus they're lifetime guaranteed... SIGH!

handy, quick, lightweight
Love these snips for cutting threads and fabric, especially small spots on small appliqués; the snips are sharp right to the tip of the blades. I like how lightweight they are, and the absence of a finger loop makes them much quicker to pick up and use. But I took off one star because I wish the cap would attach to the snips while they're in use (it seems so easy to add that feature).
