They will get dull rather quickly is used to cut paper (wood product)

Posted by Terry Chestnut on 5th Jun 2019

These scissors are cloth/fabric scissors. They are extremely SHARP. They will get dull rather quickly is used to cut paper (wood product), etc. I use mine for snipping threads and small tasks in my sewing (e.g. snipping the corner seams to make the 90 degree angle pronounced). Like i wrote, the the blades are extremely keen: I dropped mine. Nick in the blade, $%^&^%$; brought out the "ceramic" scissor sharpener, touched up the blades, got the factory burrs off, the nick out, and I now have "razor" blades for scissors, I could not be more pleased with these scissors. And if one sees negative reviews about these scissors' not cutting, it is because the user used the scissors on a item other than cloth (it only takes a Genius to try to start a fire with Water when the directions specifically read "use a Flammable liquid to ignite......"). There are a TON of Genius reviews on AMAZON, heck this might be one, who knows. And, after a chat with the Man Upstairs, I feel the burden lifted of the $%^&^%$ usage :-).

My B. Edge Sharpener couldnt put the razor edge on these scissors. I cut a lot of 550 paracord with these scissors. Ive not used these for long but Im very impressed. The wife also enjoys paracord weaving projects and Ill get her a pair.

    Best out there.

Yep. These are worth every penny. Seriously. They cut like butter and a hot knife. But only its material and sharp scissors. I would run with them unless you have the leather sheath on. They're that sharp. Perfect for trimming access fabric.

    Good scissors.

I had had another pair of this type of scissors for thirty years and found them to be wonderful, but they became so dull through use and I could not find a sharpener, I bought this pair of scissors. They are sharp enough to cut the felt that I work with and I am glad to have them. I expect them to last a long time.

    Best scissors I've ever used

Posted by Amanda on 4th Jun 2019

Best scissors I've ever used, without a doubt. I use these for almost all of my crafts. They give you a very precise, crisp, clean cut. I love how they feel in my hand, I've had other pairs of scissors give me hand cramps after a short amount of use, and I havent had that yet with this pair. I love these, I'll always buy Gingher scissors. Worth the money every time.

    Great little scissors

Posted by Sierraheartrock on 31st May 2019

I love Italian scissors. I enjoy the sharp cut and though to use these for back ups with embroidery but ended up using them to cut starts on rip-tear across after cutting through embroidery and lace to cotton twill fabric which was embroidered and had lace sewn over it - every 30 inches for 13 yards making dish cloths. Great little scissors. Easy in hand. Easy to pick up & put down while kneeling reaching moving fabric bolts - not an end over end tumble catch in fabric thrown across the floor like my bigger scissors - easier to use more convenient moving 13 yards making small cuts through lace and solid floral embroidery set in cotton twill fabric in a hurry.

Nice alternative to Klein electrician's scissors...

Posted by Tim Guichard on 31st May 2019

These scissors (at least the pair I bought) are made in Italy. They stay very sharp and take a sharpening well (just take them to a professional knife sharpener--i.e. someone who only sharpens knives for a living--those guys know what they heck they're doing!). I use these as electrical snips since I don't care for the serrated edges of most Klein, Commercial Electric, Gardner-Bender, Southland, etc. snips. They're small enough to cut in tight corners and well-built. They're also about half as much as electrician's scissors and twice as good.

    Nice smaller sewing scissors

Posted by G Snap on 31st May 2019

This is my third pair of Ginger scissors and I am very pleased with them. I have the 8" dressmaker shears and the 4" embroidery scissors, and got these to complete a set similar to the designer series Ginger offers (they need to do a plain chrome set that is more affordable). I also needed something on hand for the little trims / cuts you need to make when sewing: the 8" shears are too big for detailed work, and the embroidery scissors are too small to cut heavy or multiple layers of fabric. They are super sharp and cut fabric with little resistance and make a nice clean cut. Mine are labeled from Italy. My only complaint is the leather sheath is too small for the scissors and the scissors don't sit completely inside of it. I am hoping it stretches a little over time and fits properly.
