Sharp blade and very durable, but it lacks a guard which makes it a bit difficult to not cut the fabric when ripping out a seam. But, it is the best I have used--so 5 stars!

Never going back
This is my first experiment in blade seam rippers, and I must say that I am never going back to those traditional ice-pick abominations. I really feel my sewing experience has risen to another level.

So much better than standard, drug store seam rippers. I just opened several difficult seams, and it went at least five times faster. I cut my finger deeply, though, and didn't even realize it until I washed my hands some time later. It is also easy to carelessly cut the fabric, so be careful. Initially, I feared this sort of ripper wouldn't be any better than an exacto knife. However, the curved blade combines with the way the metal was sharpened to function far, far better. exacto blades, in close up, are actually slightly serrated and saw rather than slice. This ripper is designed for it's task. It's more like a scalpel. The right tool for the job. I'm quite pleased.

Havel's Ultra Pro Seam Ripper
The best seam ripper I have EVER used. Beware and be careful, it is SHARP! It makes ripping out seams fast and easy. The first time I used it I did nick myself a little bit, but have no problems now. Very well made.

Accurate quick stitch ripping
I have several different types of seam rippers for different uses. This was a purchase I made to add to that collection and I haven't regretted the decision yet. It's become one of my favorites because it makes ripping seams so fast and easy while does not doing damage to the fabric. Another great Havel product.

Best seam ripper I've ever used. Super sharp. I bought extra blades for it, but have still not had to change the original after months of use.
