Wow I wish that I would have found this year's ago. It makes seam ripping painless. It looks like it would be dangerous to use on a quilt. But it works great. Watch the YouTube video on it so you use it properly. It's amazing.

Love it!!! Perfect!!! Well made. Nice comfortable sized handle. This little item is very very sharp, and does the job perfectly. I had a good seam ripper that grew legs and left home, so I purchased one of these and another kind here on Amazon. (after seeing how low the quality of the regular looking ones in the fabric stores are) I am so glad I bought this. I just now ordered another one to put away. When you find something great, you want a spare.

Definitely a great buy. If you sew this is a must have compared to many seam rippers this is my favorite. I make quilts and we all make mistakes and this has saved me so much frustration and time. ❤️

Makes seam ripping so much easier!
I love this seam ripper. It makes ripping a snap. The replacement blades are genius. A sharp seam ripper is away the best tool. I took away one star because the screw that hold the blade on is bulky and is in the right side. It gets uncomfortable. If it were up to me I'd make it so the blade and screw could be placed on either side. Id hate to see it moved just to be uncomfortable for my leftie friends.

The best!
I researched far too much about seam rippers before I got this one and I'm glad this is the one I got. The scalpel-like blades seemed a little scary at first, but they work so much better than the other seam rippers I've tried. I literally can cut through the thickest thread like buttah! Another great thing about this seam ripper is that because the handle is metal, I can put it on my magnetic pin cushion to hold it in place and the cat can't knock it down as she is want to do. AND, because the handle isn't round, you can set it down and it wont roll away.

A must have for sewists!
With care, this is THE seam ripper to have! Obviously just a spin-off from medical scalpels (the blades are sealed/sterilized). However, I find this SO much faster at ripping seams than the traditional style. Just be careful, and keep away from children, as it is SHARP!
