Great machine, nice bonus package. One of the best purchases I ever made on Amazon. Absolutely love my new Janome machine. My only regret is that I wish I had bought this machine sooner! For years I had been using a Viking that kept breaking down. My new Janome just purrs along--sews all types of fabric with ease. So great! We were caught in a snow storm when my old sewing machine broke. I went on Amazon, and 2 days later they delivered my new machine through the snow drifts and all. Can't say enough good things about the folks who deliver for Amazon even in bad weather they some how make their deliveries on time. Amazon is the only company that delivers on time for me, even in the rough weather. Thanks so much!

I love it, runs smooth
So far, I love it, runs smooth, the variety of stitches avail are great, used a few of them, threader is wonderful- that is the main reason I choose this machine, very happy with my choice and it arrived about 4/5 days after I ordered. Great purchase choice.

stars Got this for my wife for Christmas
I've used it to sew patches on my scouter uniform. The wife has not tried it yet. She wanted a Janome 2212 but I gave her an upgrade to the 2222 for just a few dollars more. We had a Singer heavy duty that we lost in a house fire. The Janome is not as powerful or fast as the Singer was but it works fine for most anything we'll need it for.

Great machine - poor "manual' & Janome support
This is a great machine at a good price, and I have no regrets having bought it. The manual is poor, though, with insufficient information. It should be an actual little booklet specific to the model. On one occasion when a friend was sewing at my house, the screw that hold the "ankle" to the stem was misplaced, but I didn't realize it until some time later and didn't want to trouble her for it. I thought I could just buy a replacement, but there's no sewing machine repair place within an hour's drive and online parts places couldn't provide it. Janome support was not helpful and I finally took it to the local hardware store where they fitted a 38-cent machine screw in for me!

Nice upgrade!
simple and efficient. very nice sewing machine. The needle threading assist is nice, but takes some getting used to. Being amateurs, we are not using this machine anywhere near it's capabilities. It is reasonably quiet and far smoother than the ancient sewing machine it replaced. Nothing was sacrificed when transitioning to this machine. Recommended.

IT DOESN'T GET BETTER THAN THIS
For a machine that can do just plain sewing I chose the Janome 2222 to take back and forth to my quilting club. It is light weight but built solid as a rock. It just gets after it without any glitches. Threads easily and does some decorative stitches. I just can't ask more of it. It also makes it so I can use my heavier Janome 6500 at home.
