Janome Clear View 1/4" Foot for 9mm Machines
For the most control over your fabric while piecing, most quilters prefer to use the Straight Stitch Needle Plate. This foot works specifically with that plate to achieve a perfect 1/4" seam in Straight Stitch Mode. The small single hole in both the plate and the foot ensures the most control over your fabric possible and the least risk of threads or fabric getting caught in the feed dogs. *Must be used with a straight stitch in center needle drop position.

Janome Clear View 1/4" foot for 9mm machines
I have a similar foot for a Janome 1050 that I enjoy so much, so I ordered this one for the 8900QCP-SE. I've only used it for a few blocks, but so far, so good. I will compare this to other feet as I am looking for a reliable scant 1/4" seam allowance, making best use of the feed dogs.
