Great machine, Just Do It!
I bought two of these, one sent out as a house warming gift. For awhile I thought this was maybe a bit excessive, until I came across a fabric that was impossible to sew on a sewing machine. So, I bought a serger, worked great. Well, then back to the sewing machine to hem, that wasn't happening, since that was why I bought the serger. Now, I had enough money into this fabric and being stubborn to the point of stupidity, I bought the Janome Coverstitch. Well, I couldn't be happier! Of course, the fancy shirt I was making has turned into the most expensive piece of clothing I have ever purchased, but what the heck! I reccommend this machine as one of the best purchases ever. In fact, I bought my daughter one as a house warming gift!

Perfect purchase
I'm a huge Janome fan and an even bigger fan of Sew Vac Direct. The machine came well packaged and ready to go. Great purchase!

I was amazed at how easy it is to thread as well ...
I received my machine on May 16, 2018. It arrived well packaged and as expected. This machine is ready to sew right out of the box, just plug it in and go. I was amazed at how easy it is to thread as well as how well it sews! Much quieter than my serger and handles very smoothly. I love the work space on the machine bed. The stitching is beautiful. There are multiple videos on Youtube to teach you the basics such as locking in the threads. I'm giving it a four just because I think Janome should include a clear foot with the machine. This seller is awesome with prompt shipping.

Great coverlock machine, great price
We looked at Juki and Babylock before purchasing this coverlock machine. The Babylock was great, but not nearly good enough to justify the price. This machine works beautifully. It is easy to thread. The only downside is that it does not come with a clear foot. You need to buy this $50 accessory separately, and you will need it.

but I’ll go to 5 because I’ve had an excellent experience so far with this machine
4 stars and more, but I’ll go to 5 because I’ve had an excellent experience so far with this machine. I have serger, high end machines, many brands. I use to sell Baby Lock. I’m impressed! Straight out of the box, I discarded the thread it came with and went immediatel to Madeira serger thread. It could use a speed control, but that is my only criticism. Watch YouTube videos and you’ll learn how to exit fabric after cover stitching. If you want to make garments with knit fabrics, athletic wear type things, this is all you need.

Nice basic machine for the price
This machine has been nice so far. It was a little difficult to thread but now that I've been practicing I am getting better at the threading. So far it looks like the stitch quality is good and this will be a good machine for me.

Nice machine. I have a serger that can also ...
Nice machine. I have a serger that can also do cover stitch and chain stitch and it is a pain to change from serging to cover stitching. I had looked at this machine for a couple of years and finally decided to take the leap and buy it. I am pleased with how easy it is to use after reading the instructions and watching the video I was ready to go. This machine makes my sewing a pleasure and that is what I was going for as this is hobby for relaxation and fun.

Amazing. Love it
Amazing. Love it! Picture to show my first real project with it. I used it to bind the top and the straps.
