Janome CoverPro 900CPX Coverstitch Machine w/Premier Package

If you’re looking for a coverstitch machine instead of a basic serging machine, then you might have found it in the Janome CoverPro 900CPX. This distinctive machine has a expansive choice of features that is bound to please all of you at-home sewists!

This machine’s design is quite innovative. Although has been designed as a home sewing machine, it is performs like an industrial-style machine. It is high speed, able to perform up to 1000 stitches in a minute. It comes with a long arm and is heavy-duty enough to handle most any project you throw at it.

The beautiful thing in all of this is that the Janome CoverPro 900CPX is so simple to use, it’s almost like any home sewing machine. This model boasts one of the largest working areas out on the market today, giving sewists a 4 inch x 5.5 inch working space. This so helpful when the machine is used in free-arm configuration.

The stitch length can vary from 1 to 5 mm, and the stitch length as well as the differential feed can be manipulated through dials on the belt cover – easy enough, right? The presser foot lifter is out of your way when you are sewing, it's found on the back of the machine behind the needle.

The exceptional Janome CoverPro 900CPX coverstitch machine comes with the Janome company warranty, which is a generous 25 years on mechanical parts, 5 years on electrical parts, and 1 year on labor.

*Always set the looper thread tension slider to the right when threading.

Posted by Danielle on 19th Sep 2016

I received this machine about a year ago and have not had the time to use it. I finally had an opportunity this weekend to hem on stretch knit fabric. I was horrified with all of the skipped stitches and spent almost the whole weekend removing the stitches. This had me finally searching on the internet to find out what I was doing wrong. I found a few reviews here on Amazon that sounded like the same problems I was having. It turned out none of the recommendations that I read helped me, but in a last ditch effort, I re-read the manual. This is where I discovered that a loose leaf insert in the manual, clearly stated that when threading the looper, the looper thread tension slider has to be to the right. I re-threaded my machine and it solved my problem. I still had a few skipped stitches when I stitched over seams, but overall my stitches were very nice.

Don't know why I waited so long

The price was right to add this much coveted toy to my sewing room. I have Janome 9000 & 10000 machines already so knew the brand was reliable. I have sewn for many decades, I was able to use it after acquainting myself with the instruction manual. Really helped that it came threaded. I have since changed colors with no problem. Tension is great and I love this machine. Havent used the bonus attachments yet, but will. No downs for me but I do miss the ability to backstitch (reverse) to lock off stitches rather than tie them off, but I'll muddle through (:-).

Easy Threading, Effective Differential Feed Control

Posted by MrsPetite on 17th Feb 2015

I was very reluctant to invest in a third machine, having bought a top of the line New Home sewing machine over a couple of decades ago (still works fabulous), and a pretty decent 4-thread serger. However, neither could achieve the professional hemmed finish I wanted, especially on jersey garments which I tend to favor these days but need to shorten (tees and maxi skirts). After lots of research I ended up choosing the Janome CoverPro 900CPX (essentially another New Home machine) for quality & price (I also know I don't need the third needle). I took it out of the box upon its arrival today and was hemming my awaiting garments within 20 minutes. Here's some notes on threading - very clean and easy - left and right needle threads pretty much go through the same guides and the only thread to go beneath is the looper - also quite easy. Threading this machine is 10x easier than threading my 4-thread serger. Then came the stitching test - no skipped stitches, went over my lumpy cross seams without a hitch. And the result was beautiful - and on my tees, the stretchiness is retained. I highly recommend this machine for anyone wanting a nice polished hem. I also think SewVacDirect is offering the best deal around.

It is a must have item

Posted by Elli on 21st Oct 2012

I do alterations. I have a HD-3000 Janome & a cheap serger. There is always a feeling that I need something else, especially when I am working with knit clothing. I bought this Janome CoverPro 900CPX is just a trial decision. OH!, it came out super great, It is simple to operate, it does professional stitches, it also works so easy to hem sweaters. It is easy to sew a zipper on knit jacket with chain stitches. I also try chain stitches on work-pants, and the elastic foot to sew underwear. Awesome results. If you are doing alterations, it is a MUST have item. It will make your work so easy and your customers very happy.
