A popular foot with patchworkers for that essential 1/4 inch seam. The guide on the foot enables you to sew a perfect 1/4 inch seam every time. The guide can also be used wherever a 1/4 inch seam is called for but the markings on the needle plate cannot be used, such as when completing a flat-felled seam.
This is the most accurate patchwork foot I have used.

I have purchased the foot and the attachment shank for two of the vintage sewing machines I have restored and collected. I love sewing on these vintage rotary machines to do my quilt patchwork piece-making and this foot assures accuracy!

Janome 1/4 inch foot

I couldn't piece quilts without this 1/4 inch seam foot. It is very accurate. I bought 6 of the feet for kids I teach sewing lessons to. They all have Jenome machines and like to sew doll clothes, which have 1/4 inch seams. Should make it easier for them to be consistent.

When I got my Janome, I also purchased a quilting kit. The 1/4 foot in the kit was worthless. This one is great. Well worth the purchase price.
