    Tricot Foot

Posted by Michele on 19th Jan 2012

This foot is marvelous - what a nice little engineering feat it is. I checked it out on my Janome with drop-in bobbin and on my Elna with front load (both recent machines), and it fits both machines - it snaps in and the flange is right where it should be when it snaps on - over the needle bar. Very clever little foot - much less bulky than the walking foot. This foot is made for very slippery - very lightweight materials like those made in a "tricot knit" process, not just for nylon tricot. I used it on a lightweight cotton knit - very lightweight. LOVE this foot.

Wish I'd had this foot years ago. Works really well on all kinds of knits. Keeps the top layer of fabric from stretching and provides a nice even feed of fabric. Especially good with fine, stretchy knits. Highly recommended.
