After 40 Years of sewing a new machine I love!!
I have a White machine for 40 years and I love this machine! In the 40 years I only had it at the shop 3 times, one time because my young daughter attempted to sew and knocked the timing out of whack! I have a home furnishings business and have used the White machine continuously and loved it. I finally had to give in and purchase a new machine because the feed dog can not be replaced and is worn down. After some research I chose this Janome and received it yesterday. Worked on some Roman shades last night and I LOVE IT!!! When I was researching the machines available in the market today, I wanted it to be just like the White - no computer, basic stitches, metal frame, sturdy and heavy duty - and this is it! When I started sewing I felt as though it was my old White with the exception of quite - oh is it quite! The other bonus with my purchase is the price - $300 delivered! What a deal. I HIGHLY recommend this machine and will encourage my daughter to purchase one - she has a Singer I borrowed while mine was in the shop and what a piece of ..... Happy sewing!

wow
Delivery of this item was like overnight!!!! Impressive service from Mr. Vac & Mrs. Sew-Thank You. I was able to thread and work a couple practice stitches with ease. And for never having used a sewing before this is impressive. I can't wait to start my first project on my new toy :) The construction is solid. The machine is everything it is suppose to be.

TB12 Is Industrial Strength
This Janome machine is industrial strength - for sure. Its 840 stitches-per-minute makes drapery hemming a snap. There is a faux flat-lock stitch that looks like a 5-thread serger. Buttonholes are skimpy - but I use my Singer 750's professional attachment for buttonholes and monogramming anyway. So far, the penetration power is great on double flat-felling denim. The machine is basic - e.g. - needs a diet of oil and lint cleaning to be efficient. For sheer speed - this machine will be my go-to tool. It's all electronic - no computers here - but, that makes for less parts to fail. AND - the THREADBANGER logo already brands this baby as a workhorse!

I am a man and love my sewing machine.
This thing is the Sherman tank of sewing machine's. I have sewed couch covers, tent carrying cases, cub scout patches galore and various other things of not insubstantial thickness and this thing has never hesitated. I saw a video online of a guy sew through a yard stick...it was for real. I love my sewing machine.

EASY TO THREAD
I WOULD PREFER A DROP IN BOBBIN. I TRIED TO FIND A PIPING FOOT TO FIT THIS MACHINE WITHOUT ANY LUCK. I FIND THE STITCH QUALITY TO BE LESS THAN PERFECT. OPERATION IS SIMPLE. I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE NEEDLE THREADER.

exactly what I wanted, and exactly the same as ...
exactly what I wanted, and exactly the same as the one I have been using for the last 20 years, the number is changed and now they call it heavy-duty.......from what I put it through in the last 20 years, a name well deserved. Shipping and duty sure as heck cost a lot more than expected, but we live way up in the north so that is not unusual. And unbelievably it got here in 5 days!!!!!!!!
