    I love it!

Posted by Cindy on 29th May 2017

First let me say that I am a big fan of the Janome brand. I have one of their first computerized machines (circa 1988ish - New Home) and it is still going strong. It took me a while to remember how to sew on a mechanical machine, but now I really enjoy its power. I don't think I have ever been able to sew over jeans flatfeld seam while hemming them without using a hump jumper. Well now I can! I am planning all kinds of heavy duty projects and can't wait to start on them.

    Happy with Purchase

Posted by JAS on 21st May 2017

Machine was as advertised. It arrived a day or two ahead of projected delivery date. I like the way it sews. I like that it is mechanical rather than computerized. It is a workhorse, which is what I need.

    Nice and sturdy

    Posted by skinny01 on 20th May 2017

It works well. It's my first sewing machine so I can't really compare it to anything, and I've only done some test strips, haven't really gotten a chance to do something finished with it since I'm just learning. But from a construction standpoint, it seems solid, like it'll last a bit. It would be nice if the cord for the pedal was longer. I have a pretty high table that I have to sit it on and the pedal juuuuust hits the floor flat. Another foot or two length of cord could help

The machine is what I expected from studying the excellent closeup pictures

Posted by MamaKit on 20th May 2017

The machine is what I expected from studying the excellent closeup pictures. It is very nearly the same as the Elna it replaces, though it lacks a couple of features. Not much learning curve so I just plugged it in and kept sewing.

    so far so good

So far so good. Haven't tried all functions yet. Winding the bobbin was easy, treading the machine worked well also.

    Janome HD3000

I am still getting used to it. It has sewn through everything I have tried...vinyls and thick purse seams. Motor is noise and it drags at the start, but runs fine as soon as I get it really running. It is a bit hard to control the speed, would like to get to the point that I can consistently keep it running at an even, but moderately slow speed when topstitching.

    Great little machine!

Posted by Ridgley Resources on 9th May 2017

Came as expected, box was a bit dirty, but that's shipping. The machine included leather needles and a leather/vinyl foot. It also had a pack of bobbins and two other packs of needles, assorted sizes. It worked well, after unpacking it (it was packed well, with lots of foam pieces). It is so quiet! I was able to figure out how to thread the bobbin and the machine easily. The manual was easy to follow, but the print is small, so I also downloaded the manual to my ipad. The settings are well explained. The knob that changes the stitches was a bit "clunky" at first, but is freeing up as I have used the machine. I have sewn several thicknesses of cloth, for practice and it seems to work well, not even hesitating over seams. I like that the six feet that came with it fit in the top and are well marked. It is easy to change feet, too. The automatic threader will take a bit of getting used to, but worked! All in all, I think I just need to get out a project and get busy enjoying sewing again!

    love my new machine

Posted by pretty nails on 9th May 2017

love my new machine. Waited to use it a while before rating it. The first thing I sewed on it was several layers of polyester fleece for decorative pillows for the grandkids. It sewed right through it with a special ballpoint needle for knits. Overall it did a great job. My old machine wouldn't even begin to sew what this machine can sew.
