Very pleased with this purchase
I've sampled all the built-in stitches, played with all the switches and knobs, and this machine works very well and as advertised. Clear instructions made it easy to get started (I even learned a thing or two), and the smooth, quiet operation feels like it will last a long time. I'd prefer if all the outside bits (and the case) weren't all plastic, but the machine is fairly heavy so I'm confident that many of the important bits inside are metal (which means longer life). Free shipping & a lower price than I could get locally were a plus too. Thanks!

Love this machine
Love this machine. This delivery arrived on time and with no damage. It slices through multiple layers of military uniform fabric like butter! Vinyl with a Teflon foot stitched up like it were regular cotton. Zero missed stitches. I'm thrilled with this purchase.

Great little machine!
Came as expected, box was a bit dirty, but that's shipping. The machine included leather needles and a leather/vinyl foot. It also had a pack of bobbins and two other packs of needles, assorted sizes. It worked well, after unpacking it (it was packed well, with lots of foam pieces). It is so quiet! I was able to figure out how to thread the bobbin and the machine easily. The manual was easy to follow, but the print is small, so I also downloaded the manual to my ipad. The settings are well explained. The knob that changes the stitches was a bit "clunky" at first, but is freeing up as I have used the machine. I have sewn several thicknesses of cloth, for practice and it seems to work well, not even hesitating over seams. I like that the six feet that came with it fit in the top and are well marked. It is easy to change feet, too. The automatic threader will take a bit of getting used to, but worked! All in all, I think I just need to get out a project and get busy enjoying sewing again!

Janome HD3000
I am still getting used to it. It has sewn through everything I have tried...vinyls and thick purse seams. Motor is noise and it drags at the start, but runs fine as soon as I get it really running. It is a bit hard to control the speed, would like to get to the point that I can consistently keep it running at an even, but moderately slow speed when topstitching.

A simple machine with great options
This item is well worth the money. I purchased it from a different site but, later learned about this place. Anyway The product is excellent and great for my wife who is a beginner. She likes how it is a comprehensive compared to computer models and it is very strong. She says in her broken English the machine is good.

Exceeding my expectations.
I've had a "Sears" (Kenmore) machine that lasted a LONG time, then a Singer that was basically disposable and now this one. WHY did I wait so long to get a Janome? I love this....LOVE LOVE LOVE! So easy to use although the bobbin winding takes some getting used to - it's just not right on top of the machine, it's within the top of the machine so it's a little harder to thread but not bad.

Very good machine
Love this sewing machine. After trying the Singer Heavy Duty and returning it, I can tell you happy I am with this sewing machine. It is great with thick material and with thin one too. For the price you would be surprised as to how amazing and reliable this machine is. You can even wind a bobbin without unthreading the needle. Highly recommend it.

The Janome brand is one of the best built machines because they still use metal parts
I did weeks worth of research on sewing machines to buy my wife her first one. I watched videos from users and video reviews from repair shops. The Janome brand is one of the best built machines because they still use metal parts which keep the machine from flexing. They also use better feed dogs which allows it to sew thick fabric and straight to very thin without a hitch. It is impossible to knot up the thread when you see past the end of the fabric. It is perfect for beginners due to the flip up panel that shows what settings and what pressure feet to use for each stitch and having only the basic and most used stitches keeps confusion and intimidation to a minimum.

This machine was definitely a steal because it comes with 7 different feet,
This machine was definitely a steal because it comes with 7 different feet, a hard cover, free shipping, bonus accessories and was on sale for only $349 with warranty, which was way cheaper compared to other websites that I've been researching. I love this machine because it produces beautiful stitches that look professional. The machine can sew over thick fabrics without getting stuck or skipping a stitch. The feed dogs on this machine makes it smooth to sew. Best of all is the machine arrived brand new and it was nicely packaged. The hardest part for me was deciding if I should buy from Sew Vac, a random company I found online, or from a local retailer. I took my chances after researching about their company and watching their YouTube videos. I'm very happy with my purchase from Sew Vac.
