Janome Professional Grade Needle Plate for 9400, 6700 and 15000
This special needle plate can be combined with a slim and compact presser foot (sold separately). Combining this special matching needle plate with the slim foot (sold separately) mimics what you would find on industrial sewing machines. The foot’s compactness makes it especially suitable for curve sewing and 1/4” piecing.
The foot utilizes the left side feed dogs. When the Professional Grade Needle Plate is attached, the screen for the Professional Grade Foot (HP) stitches is automatically displayed. A sensor under the needle plate detects the plate and automatically changes to the correct screen. Very convenient and safe, with the needle position fixed at 0.5.
*Professional grade foot and needle plate can be used with MC15000 version 2.11 or earlier when you purchase the Quilt Maker Accessory Kit and update your machine to Quilt Maker.

A few surprises
Works well with the Hp2 foot. Surprised that a bobbin cover was not included. I do have a few from other needle plates, however the release button doesn't raise the cover high enough to remove easily. It needs help. I have to use a pin or seam ripper to help remove the cover. Expected to be able to use this needle plate with the HP foot. Surprised to find the 1/8" edge stitching hole not on the needle plate. Stitching with the HP2 foot (accufeed foot) is great. Easier to see stitching. Sews curves easier. Very pleased.
