Damages needle plates can cause your material to feed incorrectly. If there are needle marks on your plate it is time to change it. This is the standard needle plate that originally came on your machine. This Needle plate fits Janome models: MC12000, MC8900QCP, MC8200QCP and Elna Models: EL730 & EL760.
