Used for Straight Stitching in the center position. The Straight stitch plate helps provide a more stable base. The smaller opening is great for working on fine fabrics that are prone to getting pulled into the feed dogs.

Janome Straight Stitch Needle Plate
I purchased this needle plate to go with a machine I bought from Hancock’s 15 years ago. Over time, I’ve learned that my machine (Janome 3022) was made special to Hancock’s and is not a “standard” Janome machine. I worried whether I’d be able to find something to fit my needs - a straight stitch single-hole needle plate. But I went to the Sew Vac site and found this plate that works perfectly for me. I am getting better-looking stitching on my seams and much better quilting results. The package arrived quickly and was exactly what I ordered.
