The Juki MO 1000 is a home serging machine that takes all the hassle out of threading a serger. The MO 1000 is a 4-thread, 2-needle serger and overlock machine that comes packed with the most important features, including Juki’s special Jet-Air threading technology. No longer is threading the loopers a hassle, as this machine threads itself at the push of a button using only a burst of air sent from the electric motor! Threading mistakes, struggling with thread guides, and poor quality stitches are a thing of the past with the MO 1000.
In addition to the amazing air looper threader, the MO 1000 also has automatic needle threading, an upper looper 2-3 thread converter function, and knob-adjustable differential feed. It also has easy stitch length and thread tension dials for perfect, custom adjustment with any fabric. These and other features make serging different types of fabrics, including knits, quick and easy while obtaining the best results. It has a top sewing speed of 1500 SPM for quick, easy serging, overlocking, and hemming.
The throat between the top of the machine and the needle plate is over 70mm high, providing ample space for working. The workspace is brightly lit by a built-in, cool-running LED light that, combined with the throat space, makes the MO 1000 very user-friendly and easy to work with.
Other features of the Juki MO 1000 that make it a versatile machine for producing professional quality garments and other items include adjustable presser foot pressure, cut width adjustment, the ability to deactivate the upper knives, a thread trimming blade, and a convenient waste collection bin to keep things neat. The machine also has a safety mechanism that prevents it from running while the presser foot is up.
The MO-1000 is a compact machine measuring approximately 13” x 11” but it’s 20 lb weight makes it solid and stable when in use. This quiet running machine comes with a standard presser foot, a supply of needles and a threader, a tweezer and other machine cleaning tools, thread nets, a guide bar, an accessory pouch, a vinyl cover, and much more.
The MO 1000 is covered by Juki’s 5-year warranty on mechanical parts, 2-year warranty on electrical parts, and includes 90 days of labor and adjustment coverage. Warranty applies only for personal use machines; commercial use of this machine voids the warranty.

Judi machines are are always worth the money. I have now a MO-1000 serger and I am not disappointed. Juki still makes a quality machine in any version. Also, the ease and fun of threading this serger makes me happy!

Juki MO-1000 Serger
Since my eyesight has declined, it is hard trying to thread my serger, so it was time for a push button threader. It was difficult threading the machine because once I pushed the button for the threading, the air was pushing the thread away instead of sucking it into the machine. With much difficulty I was able to thread the machine. After using the machine for three weeks, I loved it until I had to re-thread it. The machine was defective and too costly to have to struggle with the threading process. Therefore, I had to return it. The MO-1000 comes with a plastic catcher to collect the trimmings. The basket that catches the trimmings doesn't fit flush enough to catch everything. The actual sewing of the machine and adjusting the various knobs was an easy task and I was pleased with how the stitches looked. I didn't like that you had to resew over the stitches in order to secure the threads from unraveling. This isn't necessary with my other serger.

My 1st seger
I love this serger. I was intimidated by treading the others but wanted one so bad. I purchased mines from a sewing store. They give free lessons for a year and will clean your machine for free. It's worth it!

I bought mine from a dealer so I got 5 free lessons on how it works. I love this machine and in the past week I was able to take a serger class from JUKI which was fun and learned different projects I can do. Learned how to make a table runner with a flat lock stitch.. Machine is a little pricey but well worth every penny and love the fact that it is easy to thread.

This was bought as an extension to the Janome CXL 301 sewing machine. Both of these were bought following extensive investigations on-line and, more importantly, following extensive discussion with the eventual supplier as regards pluses and minuses. The Janome has fully lived up to the requirement for a machine that would suit a returning out-of-practice home sewer where the machine would make life easier without straying into areas that might become too complex for natural satisfaction. The target now was for a machine that would do its job as a supporting addition to the sewing machine and the advice offered was to purchase one of two models that were more of a technological match to the Janome sewing machine and at a lower price point. Few suppliers would suggest a cheaper machine when a more expensive one could be bought which added to a sense of trusted advice. The Juki MO-1000 was more expensive than either suggestions and, it was thought, to be out of proportion to the Janome machine. Nevertheless it was the one finally decided upon for the following reasons. Where possible it makes sense to purchase equipment that makes the technical side of the job as straightforward as possible. This leaves the user free to work without having to fight with technical issues. Those same considerations must also apply to sewing if success is to become more attainable and the activity more pleasurable. Threading is a key consideration and this machine's ability to thread the lower loopers with its air technology is a tremendous advantage in practice. As it also threads the upper loopers all threading is therefore completely simplified and reliable. The technology is equally reliable in all other aspects and, key evidence here, the result has been a marked expansion of sewing activity and pleasure in the tasks. Users may find that the most efficient way to progress is to have both machines available on her table at the same time allowing for easy double usage. Over-locking the seams is a great advantage, the only snag being to complete the operation by doubling back which is tricky to achieve neatly. It has proved to be easier to fasten some over-locked seams by using the standard sewing machine. It is also possible to fasten over-locked seams with another overlapping over-locked seam going in a different direction. This has proved to be a well-made and very straightforward machine to use. It has been completely justified in its use to buy an over-locker such as this one that is a more advanced machine than the normal sewing machine then use them in tandem with each complementing the other. A marked expansion of interest in sewing over time has confirmed this to be the machine of choice on every count.
