The high quality I expect from Juki
NCSU's College of Textiles had many Jukis in our labs. Having enjoyed working with them, I felt comfortable with this brand, and it didn't disappoint. It comes pre-threaded and is easy to use.

I've sewed lots already and I'm just a beginner!
This is my first serger and I am very new to sergering. I wanted to sew upcycle clothing. I sought out the advice of a sewing class but after hearing the fee of "$100 for 3 hours", I decided to tackle this on my own. After a couple of hours (I just needed to make sure to thread properly:), I made my first piece of upcycle clothing! Then I started making more! I love it! With this purchase, I am on my way to reinventing my entire wardrobe without buying new clothes! I chose this model because it was recommended by Katwise on Etsy and I have to say thank you Katwise and thank you Amazon!

Works great
Threading this is no picnic however, once that is done it is a piece of cake. We are VERY happy with how it works and makes our pieces look a good deal more professional.

Great serger for the money
I hemmed and hawed over purchasing a serger. They're pricey, and I'm just a hobby sewist. This machine was recommended to me by several people. It's apparently the same machine as a much more expensive model. I had a little trouble with the initial threading (take out the threads that are in it all the way, and rethread according to the instructions!), but I've since rethreaded it a few times without trouble, and it's is pretty easy to use. I'm very happy I chose this serger.
